1. Definitions

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or enrolling in a course, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must not use our website or enrol in a course.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of Malaysia. If you are enrolling on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

3. Service Description

Latentgrove provides online education in AI development through cohort-based courses. Current offerings are:

Courses are delivered online in English. Live sessions are scheduled in Malaysian Standard Time (MST, UTC+8). Cohorts have a maximum of 18 participants. We do not operate courses on a self-paced basis; enrolment is to a specific scheduled cohort.

4. User Accounts

Access to course content and the cohort forum requires an account created during the enrolment process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share account access with any other person.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we have reasonable grounds to believe that your credentials have been shared or your account has been used in breach of this Agreement.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

6. Intellectual Property

All course content — including recorded sessions, written materials, exercise specifications, and feedback templates — remains the intellectual property of Latentgrove. Enrolment grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the content for your own learning during and after the course.

You retain ownership of work you produce during the course, including assignments and your Canopy project. By participating in a Canopy cohort and agreeing to a hosted project page, you grant Latentgrove a non-exclusive licence to display your project description and name on our website.

7. Payment Terms

All fees are quoted and payable in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Full payment is due before your cohort start date. We do not reserve places without payment confirmation.

Refund policy

Instalment arrangements for Canopy enrolment may be available on request. Any agreed instalment schedule will be set out in a separate written confirmation. Failure to meet an instalment payment may result in removal from the programme; amounts already paid are non-refundable except at our discretion.

8. Course-Specific Terms

8.1 Enrolment and prerequisites

Entry to Branches requires demonstrated Python and statistics proficiency, assessed via a written submission reviewed by us. Entry to Canopy requires completion of Branches or equivalent, assessed in the same way. We will advise you of our decision within seven working days of receiving your entry submission.

8.2 Completion records

A written completion record is issued to learners who complete all required submissions within the cohort period. Completion records describe the curriculum and assessment method. They are not academic qualifications under Malaysian law and we make no claim that they are recognised by any regulatory or educational authority.

8.3 Deferral

If you are unable to complete a cohort due to circumstances outside your control, you may request a deferral to the next available intake. Deferrals are granted at our discretion and are not available within seven days of the cohort start date.

8.4 GPU and cloud credits

GPU and cloud credits included in Branches and Canopy are provided for educational use during the course. Unused credits expire at the end of the cohort period. Credits may not be transferred or exchanged for cash.

9. Disclaimers

Our courses are provided for educational purposes. We do not represent that completing a course will result in employment, a change in career, a specific salary level, or any other personal or professional outcome. Individual results depend on factors outside our control.

Course content is provided in good faith and reflects the state of the field at the time of writing. AI and machine learning is a rapidly evolving area; some content may become outdated between curriculum reviews. We update course content each intake but cannot warrant that all material reflects the most current developments at any given time.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Latentgrove's total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with a course is limited to the fees you paid for that course. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special loss including lost profits or loss of opportunity.

Nothing in this Agreement limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Latentgrove against any claims, losses, or costs arising from your breach of this Agreement, your use of the platform, or content you post in the cohort forum.

12. Termination

We may suspend or remove you from a course without refund if you breach this Agreement, including but not limited to: submitting work that is not your own, sharing account access, or behaving in a way that is harmful to other participants.

You may withdraw from a course at any time, subject to the refund policy in Section 7. Following withdrawal or termination, your access to the course platform and forum will be removed.

Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination of this Agreement.

13. Dispute Resolution

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia. If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] to seek an informal resolution. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to the courts of Malaysia, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

14. General Provisions

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify enrolled learners by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued enrolment after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
